Program Evaluation

An informed process of collecting, analyzing, and using data to examine the effectiveness and efficiency of programs-- and, as importantly, to contribute to continuous program improvement. The process is the initial step in developing a quality assurance system

Effective program evaluation is a systematic way to improve and account for specific organizational actions by involving procedures that are useful, feasible, ethical, and accurate. The framework guides organizations in their use of program evaluation. It is a practical, nonprescriptive tool, designed to summarize and organize essential elements of program evaluation (CDC, 2012).
